General Tips for 9 Bears users
Although we moderate listings and attempt to filter out potential spam and unacceptable content we do not guarantee user ads for authenticity. Remember the old saying, if it’s to good to be true it probably is. Pictures, pictures, pictures. Ads with pictures sell much better than those without. Try to include at least one picture with your listing. As a buyer if you come across an ad that has little or no pictures, ask the seller to provide additional pictures. For most people it is easy to snap a few extra pics. Keep in mind 9 Bears has a maximum file size of 8 MB per image. If you need to “shrink” the file sizes for your images you can search the Internet for “free online image resize” or install an image resizing app on your phone.
When purchasing an item that is not local (i.e. shipped to you), consider using an escrow service to add an extra layer of protection. Escrow services provide a means to protect buyers and sellers when making purchases or selling items at a distance. If you buy or sell anything of substantial value we recommend looking into using an escrow service. There is a fee for using such services but it can reduce the possibility of some types of fraud.
